Real Love

One of the most amazing truths found in the Word of God is His love.  He doesn’t just have love for us, He is love (I John 4:16). Intimacy is born out of love and passion. Every day, He earnestly waits to share His thoughts and manifest His love with us. 

Like the old song says I was “looking for love in all the wrong places.” I found myself desperately searching for love in all the ways the world had to offer whether alcohol, drugs, sex etc. These quick fixes were temporary, costly, and never fulfilling. I was left with an empty void inside and unsatisfied.

Most people do not know God gives us fulfillment and love. I didn’t. He came looking for me behind those prison walls. “All of you for all of Me,” I heard Him say. It was pure, unconditional love, the great exchange. Unabashedly, I turned to God with my whole heart, and He turned my fears into hope, my hopelessness into faith and my loneliness into a lifelong companion.

Love never fails. Love never gives up. Love never runs out of pursuing us, passionately.
